A higher education institution is an organisation that delivers post-secondary education and training,and confers awards.
A higher education institution that intends to seek provider accreditation and the accreditation of its qualifications may apply using this web application.
However, it is important to note that only the higher education institutions based in countries that do
NOT have a national quality assurance agency may apply for accreditation with EQAP.
Prior to seeking qualification accreditation,the institution must seek provider accreditation.
Provider qualification must be developed in accordance with the guidelines stipulated in the:
Guidelines for the Development and Accreditation of Provider Qualifications.
Higher education institutions in countries that have national quality assurance agencies (NQAA) must seek
provider and qualification accreditation from the NQAA, as they are legally mandated to carry out this function.
A regional qualification is one that is developed, endorsed and owned by the region, and is available for delivery by providers in the region. A micro-qualification is a component or subset of a qualification An organisation that has a regional qualification and / or micro-qualification and intends to have them accredited may apply for accreditation using this application. Regional qualifications and micro-qualifications must be developed in accordance with the guidelines stipulated in the: Guidelines for Development and Accreditation of Regional Qualifications and Guidelines for Development and Accreditation of Units of Learning, respectively.
